Catherine Alter

Catherine Alter, age 85, of Bryan, Texas, passed away Wednesday, March 29, 2023.

Cathy was born September 16, 1937, and was a lifelong resident of Bryan, Texas. She graduated from Stephen F Austin High School and continued her education with an Associate degree from the Mays Business School. She enjoyed watching Aggie Football, crafting, and being surrounded by family. Cathy was a member of the Presbyterian Church and had great faith in God.  

One of Catherine’s best qualities was her love of family. We are forever grateful to our mom and grandmother for leaving that legacy to all her family.

She is survived by her sister, Mary Simpson of North Carolina; her children, Mike and Susan Hahn of College Station, Tx, Jeff and Sandra Presnal of Chapel Hill, Tx, Jeff and Jennifer Alter of Katy, Tx, Keith and Laurie Alter of Spring, Tx; and 12 Grandchildren and 8 Great-Grandchildren.

Catherine is preceded in her passing by her parents, Rufus P. and Jesse Crenshaw Batten; daughter, Virginia Boedeker; two brothers; five sisters; and the Love of her Life, her husband of 54 years, Robert N. Alter.
