Carolyn Murphey

Carolyn "Cacky" Wallace Murphey, 89, of College Station, passed away on Thursday, July 29, 2021. Graveside services will be held at 11:30 am, on Friday, August 6th, at Bryan City Cemetery.

Carolyn was born on September 6, 1931, in Bryan, Texas. She grew up in Bryan, Texas, but left to attend Baylor University in Waco, Texas.

Carolyn married John "Pat" Murphey on July 20, 1949, in Bryan, Texas. They enjoyed a loving relationship for over 62 years until his death in 2012. They were blessed with 3 children Carol, Michele, and Michael. Carolyn had always been a loving mom and wife, and loved watching her kids grow.

A smart, intelligent woman, Carolyn loved reading, crossword puzzles, stamps, and cooking for family. She loved to be in the garden, and had a green thumb for it. Roses were her absolute favorite. Carolyn also loved watching Aggie baseball; she really enjoyed the thrill of March Madness. She was a member of the Letterman Association and the 12th Man Foundation with Texas A&M University.

Carolyn will be missed by her children, Carol Murphey, Michele Grossaint and husband Pat Grossaint, and Michael Murphey and wife Kristi Murphey; grandchildren, Elizabeth Kile Murphey, and James Grossaint; and brother, Bill Wallace and wife Lynda Wallace.
