CAROLYN L. GORE
1931 ~ 2007

Carolyn L. Gore, age 75, formerly of Houston, passed away Wednesday, January 24, 2007 in the St. Joseph Regional Health Center in Bryan.  Mrs. Gore was born February 9, 1931 in Houston to Allison Field Leonard and Evelyn Gillen Leonard.

Carolyn and husband Joshua Wayne “J.W.” Gore lived in Houston for many years.  They moved to Pleasanton for ten years and then to Bryan just eight months ago. She was an avid reader and was always active with her children in their school and community projects.  Over the years, she participated in booster clubs, fund raising and volunteered with Spring Branch Little League, Bruin Brigade and Light foot Brigade.

She is survived by her husband J.W. Gore, Jr. of Bryan; two daughters and son-in-law Sharon & Mike Barnes of Kennedale and Kathy E. & Jim Mazurkiewicz of Bryan; a son and daughter-in-law Michael & Kathy Gore of Bryan; a sister and brother-in-law Jaqueline & Hans Mangold of San Antonio; nine grandchildren Amanda Gore, Mellissa Gore, James Mazurkiewicz, Kathy Ann Mazurkiewicz, Stephanie Mazurkiewicz, Christopher Barnes, Elyse Barnes, Kaitlin Gore and Zachary Gore.

A Service will be held at 2pm Saturday, January 27, 2007 at Forest Park Lawndale.  Interment will follow at Forest Park Lawndale Cemetery.  A visitation will be held from noon- 2pm Saturday at the funeral home.  A mass will held at 10am today, January 26, 2007 at St. Joseph Catholic Church on Bryan.
