Candace Lowe

Candace Janelle Robertson Lowe, 55, passed away on Saturday, June 7, 2008, after a fatal car accident in Brenham.

Although Candy was trained as a cosmetologist over 30 years ago, she spent the better part of her life helping those who needed her. Candy looked forward to helping the young and old alike. She would spend the better part of her days caring for the elderly and often had a hard time moving on to the next person who needed her as she would get so attached. Hers was a life full of unselfish giving. She touched so many and gave all that she could and asked for nothing in return.

Candy loved music, spending endless hours with friends, and last but not least, bragging about her kids and grandkids. Candy was very influenced by her mother who taught her to give as she did.

Her mother has awaited her anxiously and for those who knew Candy best can picture that happy healthy smile. Although she will be greatly missed by so many, we remember her and celebrate her life.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Lillian Gilmore Robertson and Malron B. Robertson of Bryan.

Survivors include her brother and sister-in-law, Terrell and Trish Robertson of Iola; son and daughter-in-law, Timothye and Jennifer Weihausen, Damon and Tammie Burlin, all of Mumford; daughter, Kim Arrington of Austin; seven grandchildren, whom she talked about and bragged about to all that would listen to her, Dalys and Kelsey Weihausen, Sorrel, Rider, and Isabel Burlin, all of Mumford, and Morgan and Ross Arrington of Anderson.

“Maw,” as her grandchildren affectionately called her, made an impact on the lives of her grandchildren in many ways, ways that she will never know. She will also be greatly missed by cousin, lifelong friend and roommate, Wanda Gilmore.
