Callie Sanders

Callie, one of 12 children, was born on April 29, 1921 to T.E. and Sarah Sanders.  She grew up in West Texas.  She and her beloved husband, “Sandy” (James W.) married September 12, 1942 and had 60 very happy years together.  They lived in Houston for many years and proceeded to retire to Bryan, TX and lived there until Sandy’s death.

Survivors include one brother and sister-in-law (best-friend) Charles and Beverly Sanders of Ft. Worth, one sister and brother-in-law, Alice and Larry Cothran of Dallas, brothers-in-law Monroe and Joyce Sanders of Little Rock, AR, and Tommy Brown of Houston, TX.  Also are her loving “family” in Hurst – Kathy, Tony, Amy, Lora, and Troy, a niece, Janice Witcher of Midland, TX and nephew and his wife, C.W. and Bernell Chapman of Dallas as well as 2 nieces, 4 nephews, and 2 special great, great nieces.

The family wishes to thank all of those “extra special friends” who lovingly cared for Callie with much devotion for the past 5 years.  She was like a rose bud that truly fully “bloomed” for all of you until the end.  She loved each of you.

Callie, we love you so very much and will miss you always.
