Rodney "Bubba" Ray Zalobny Jr., 42, of College Station, Texas, passed away on July 7, 2021. A graveside service will take place at Snook Cemetery on Wednesday, July 14, at 2 pm.
Bubba was born on August 24, 1978, to his parents, Rodney Zalobny Sr. and Jenny Cargill. He spent his childhood growing up with his brother, Mikey. As a teenager, Rodney was very likable and had many friends. He spent his weekends hanging out with them and having lots of fun.
Bubba was no stranger to hard and dirty work. He worked on electric motors for Franks Electric Motors and in his spare time, enjoyed tinkering with lawn mowers and small engines. He also worked for numerous cemetery services, where he would prepare graves and clean up afterwards. In addition to all of this, he was also very skilled at lawn services. Some would say that he could weed eat better that most people could write!
The most important thing in Bubba's life was his family, especially his children, Blake and Alexis. Bubba was always looking for any reason to spend time with his family. He loved enjoying their company during the holidays and family gatherings. Some of his favorite activities to do with his family were hunting, camping, and boat rides on Lake Somerville.
Bubba was a worry free, fun, silly, and faithful man. Those who knew him will always remember how helpful and selfless he was. Bubba would always jump to any opportunity he had to serve others no matter how difficult the task may be. He will be deeply missed by all who were blessed to have known him.
Bubba is survived by his partner in life, Jessica Lyon; children, Alexis Lynn Zalobny, and Blake Alexander Zalobny; father, Rodney Ray Zalobny Sr., and siblings, Michael John Zalobny, Brittany Michelle Rothrock Putin, David Pitts, Beverley Peche, and Brandon Wade Rothrock; his aunts Diana Smith and Debra Benson; his cousin Kirby Smith; his granny Rosalie Zalobny and his Papaw Rudolph Zalobny.
Bubba is reunited in heaven with his mother, Jenny Lynn Cargill; friends, Christopher Barker and Eric Barker; and favorite dog, Slow Poke.
