Bradford Leach Lisenbe, 86, of College Station passed away in the early morning of Saturday, July 19, 2008. Services are set for 3 p.m. Tuesday, July 22, at Hillier Funeral Home. Visitation will be from 4 to 6 p.m. Monday, July 21, at the funeral home.

Bradford (“Brad” or “Tish” to some) was born on April 9, 1922 to Sula Jean (Bradford) and Obie Franklin Lisenbe in Linden, Ala.

He was a longtime member of First United Methodist Church in Bryan. Brad served in the U.S. Army Air Corps during World War II, working on aircraft electronics. He entered the service on June 23, 1942, and received an honorable discharge on December 5, 1945.

He enjoyed working on mechanical and electrical things, collecting and shooting guns, fishing, hunting and being a wonderful husband, father, grandfather, brother and friend to all he met.

Brad received his bachelor’s degree from Texas A&M University in 1953 and began his professional career at the A&M Data Processing Center that same year, retiring after more than 33 years of service to A&M in August 1986. During his career, he assisted many students with computing issues and was known as “the Aggie’s friend.”

Brad met and married Bernice Graham of Bryan in 1951 – they were happily married for more than 57 years.

He was preceded in death by his sister, Evelyn Herring, and brother, James Lisenbe.

Survivors include his loving wife; daughter and son-in-law, Debra and Glenn Rodriguez of Hurst, Texas; son and daughter-in-law, Larry and Julie Lisenbe; four grandchildren, Cordell and Nicole Rodriguez and Kaitlin and Lauren Lisenbe; sister; Lena Grace Atchley of Dallas; brother, Fred Lisenbe of Waco, Texas; and numerous nieces and nephews.
