Bernadean Murray

Bernadean Davis Murray, 93, of Bryan passed away on Tuesday, March 11, 2008, at Sheridan of Bryan.
She was born on November 13, 1914, in Palestine, Texas, to Randolph Hall and Pinkie Carnelia Davis. She was raised in Buffalo, Texas.
Mrs. Murray was a lifelong member of First United Methodist Church of Bryan and attended regularly while she was able. She was a charter member of the Order of the Eastern Star, Bryan Chaper No. 222,  where she was a past Worthy Matron and held other verious offices with in the Bryan and Grand Chaper OES. Mrs. Murray was an accomplished seamstress and a devoted grandmother, not only to her three grandchildren but to many kids she babysat over the years. She was famous for her chicken and dumplings and chocolate pie.  She was known to meet you at the door with, “You want some of Grandma’s chocolate pie?” no matter who it was.
She was preceded in death by her loving husband of 25 years, Martin "Irvin" Murray; father, Randolph Hall Davis; mother, Pinkie Carnelia Davis; brother, J.T. “Johnny” Davis; and sisters, Jewel Moore, Isabell Sinclair and Willie Mae Hill.
Survivors include her daughter and son-in-law, Kathy Elaine and Myron Williams of Bryan; grandchildren, Richard “Ricky” Williams of Dallas, Chelley Williams Leonard, James Leonard and Brittany Williams, all of Bryan; and her favorite nephew, son of her sister Jewel, whom she helped bring in the world, S.W. “Sylvie” Davis of Deer Park, Texas.
