Barbara Helen Yount

Heaven welcomed another resident on the morning of Thursday, January 19th, 2023, Barbara Helen Yount, age 79, who had resided in Calvert, Texas these past 12 years. She was born in St. Louis, MO and raised her children there, but when they were grown the wandering spirit overtook her. 

She worked for Lanehart Cabinets as a bookkeeper part time as well as part time in the Robertson County JP office.  She had many hobbies including quilting, cooking, square dancing, bingo, traveling, DIY projects, and many more.  She had a quirky sense of humor which will be missed.  Be sure to leave the light on for us!

She was preceded in death by her parents, "Bud" and June Caldwell; 3 brothers; and her grandson, Gerald Lee Mayhall. 

Survivors include three daughters and a son-in-law; Deborah Yount-Scott of St. Louis MO, Pamela and Michael Shumake of Arnold MO, and Cathy Mayhall of Franklin TX; and 9 grandchildren and 11 great grandchildren. 

We will be having an intimate memorial service later this spring in Illinois, where she will be laid to rest. 

Her family wishes to extend our sincere appreciation and thanks to her many wonderful friends and neighbors who raised her up and supported her through the tough times that she faced.  You truly filled the gap for us, when we were not able to be with her.
