Anthony Clay Ayers

Anthony Clay Ayers, 15, tragically passed away October 29, 2022.

Anthony grew up in Bryan and went to school every day. He played sports, played games, and made music. He started playing football at the age of 5 and tried his hardest at everything he did. He once won first place at a track meet.

A happy and caring teenager, Anthony loved his mom and making music. He loved to take care of his friends and family and was known for saying, “Bro”. His mom remembers the special time they shared when she taught him how to drive. He loved playing football, but his 15th birthday was the greatest day of his life – his mom made sure of that!

Anthony is now in the loving arms of his grandmother, Hermelinda Hernandez; his aunt, Marisol Hernandez; and his uncle, Paul Toliver.

Anthony is survived by his parents, Sonia Hernandez and Emerson Ayers; siblings, Zion Jackson, age 7, and Jaylen Jackson, age 3; and grandparents, Marianela Hernandez, Gwen Thurmon, and Emerson Ayers.

“Your life was a blessing, your memory a treasure.

You are loved beyond words and missed beyond measure.

I’m Free.

Praise the Lord, I’m free.

No longer bound, no more chains holding me.

Behold, I am with you always!”
