Annette Lynn Do

December 16, 1977 — April 25, 2024

Bryan, Texas

Annette Lynn Do passed away into the arms of her Lord on Thursday, April 25, 2024.

Born in Bryan on December 16, 1977, Annette grew up active in 4H and won several awards at major livestock shows. As she grew older, she attended Blinn College and received an associate degree in office management, as well as her nursing degree. Over the years, she worked alongside many friends at V.G. Young Institute of County Government, as a Brazos County 911 Dispatcher, and at St. Joseph Regional Hospital as a Registered Nurse. She was also a piano teacher for several years, a Mother's Day Out teacher, a homeschool teacher, but especially a homemaker. Her consuming passion was to raise her daughter, Madison, in a way that would bring glory to God.

Annette was remarkably gifted by God. She had a vibrant spirit. She played piano beautifully and loved to quilt, scrapbook, and work in her yard. Her particular passion was organizing anything. Above all, family was most important to Annette. She enjoyed frequent family gatherings, holidays, and trips.

Most of all, Annette will always be remembered as a classy, loving, and godly woman. She was authentic, devoted, and strong. She wore many hats, including daughter, mother, sister, aunt, wife, Nett-Nett, and Netterbug. Annette entered a saving relationship with her Lord at an early age, which shaped and guided all she did. She was an active member at Central Baptist Church and strived to live humbly while bringing glory to God in every aspect of her life. Annette was not afraid when life became hard, leaning on God for strength and wisdom to step forward with diligence and thoroughness. With her faith, Annette became a wise and encouraging mentor to many others.

Annette is reunited in Heaven with her husband, Jim Chi Dung Do; grandparents, Kent and Phyllis Brumbaugh, Vernon Erickson, Mathilda Erickson, and Gertrude Erickson; and brother-in-law, Roger Do.

Left to cherish her memory on Earth is her daughter, Madison Do; mother, Lois McBride (Paul); father, Gordon Brumbaugh (Liliana); boyfriend, Jeff Jones; siblings, Jordan Swindol (Jason), Adam Brumbaugh (Haley), Chelsea McCurdy (Scotty), William Paul McBride (Chrissy), and Lilly Moses (Ryan); parents-in-law, Anh My Do and Hanh Vuong; sister-in-law, Julie Norris (Mark); along with nieces and nephews, Maggie and Clayton Swindol, Anna, Sam, and Jessica Brumbaugh, Harper and Tripp McCurdy, Chris and Danielle McBride, Brooklyn and Hudson Moses, and Reed and Walt Norris.

Annette’s family acknowledges Dr. Erin Fleener and the Cancer Clinic staff and the CHI St. Joseph ER, IMCU, and ICU staff for the wonderful compassionate care they provided Annette. Special thanks to Annette’s Central Baptist Church Life Group and ministerial staff and to the Bryan Police Department for unlimited love and support.
