Marcelina D. Garcia, 81, of College Station, went to be with her Lord on Saturday, May 30, 2015. A time for family to receive friends will be from 5-8 PM on Wednesday, June 3, 2015 at Hillier Funeral Home in Bryan. A Celebration Service and Rosary will begin at 6 PM. Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11 AM on Thursday, June 4, 2015 at St. Joseph Catholic Church, 600 E. 26th Street in Bryan with Monsignor John A. McCaffrey officiating. Interment will follow at Mt. Calvary Catholic Cemetery.
Marcelina was born on January 30, 1934 to Jose Diaz and Julia Leal in Campbellton, Texas.
Marcelina was an active member of St. Joseph Catholic Church. She was a very loving and caring wife, mother and grandmother. Her family was her life and her strength through life. She always looked forward to holidays and family gatherings to see the new additions to the family. She will be deeply missed by all that crossed her path.
She is preceded in death by daughters; Mary Crestina, Mary Julia Garcia and Rosie Garcia Vasquez.
Marcelina leaves behind her loving husband of 63 years, Guadalupe Sr. Sons; Guadelupe Jr. and wife Marie, Roy and wife Christine, Ricky, David and wife Geneva, Earnest, Larry, Randy and wife Edel, Donnie and wife Joann, Manuel and wife Laura Garcia and a daughter; Sylvia Garcia, 40-grandchildren 17- great-grandchildren numerous nieces and nephews.
