Sergio Roman Gutierrez Barrera,43, passed away on Wednesday, January 10, 2018. He was born on December 29, 1974 in Guadalajara Jalisco, Mexico to Ana Barrera and Angel Gutierrez Garcia. Sergio has a older brother Miguel Angel Gutierrez. Growing up his mother said that Sergio was always a good child, and how he loved his grandparents Rosa Santiago Guerrero and Roman Barrera Cabrera. He loved them with all his heart as well as his love for his family. As a young child he was always happy singing and dancing. He was really loving! He went to La Salle Elementary school in Guadalajara Jalisco, Mexico as well as middle school.
Then when he turned 15 years old he came to California and went to high school there. At the age 19 he moved to Bryan, Texas where he soon met his wife Lenor Gutierrez at a Luis Miguel Concert in Houston, Texas in 1995. He met her when she was four months pregnant with Lilian. They dated for one year and then moved into their own home. They stayed in Bryan, Texas for two years and later moved to Naples, Florida. Shortly after Joshua Gutierrez was born in 1998. Sergio’s favorite family past times was to sit and relax on the beach with his family. Sergio had a local job putting up screens for swimming pools, and later in life found his passion by becoming a welder. They stayed in Florida for two more years and then made a decision to move back to Texas to be closer to family.
Sergio is proceeded in death by his wife Lenor Gutierrez, daughter Lilian Gutierrez, son Joshua Gutierrez, and beautiful granddaughter Lily Baker. They will cherish all the good memories and always know how much he loved everyone.
