Mary Lupe Navarrette, age 67, passed away Friday, February 2, 2018 in Bryan, Texas. Mary was born in Wichita Falls, Texas on July 4, 1950. She was the daughter of Moises and Anita Navarrette.
Mary was preceded in death by her grandson Jaron Hernandez, her brother Moises Navarrette Jr., her brother Sammie Navarrette, and her son Miguel Gomez. Mary is survived by her sister Debbie Navarrette, her children Melanie Myers, Michael Navarrette and spouse Ceci Navarrette, Rene Hernandez, Jesse Navarrette and spouse Monica Navarrette, Amy Bender and spouse Chad Bender, Krista Alvarado, and Jonathan Mendez, her grandchildren Jonathan Meeks and spouse Kriston Meeks, Vanessa Romero, Jordan Navarrette, Destinee Navarrette, Kaelynn Hernandez, Jordan Hernandez, Dylan Navarrette, Matthew Navarrette, Jake Navarrette, Isabella Bender, Andrew Bender, Nathan Bender, and James Bender, her great-grandchildren Jolene and Lyla Meeks, her nieces Vanessa Vindiola, Nicole Navarrette, Mary Navarrette, and Elizabeth Navarrette, her nephews, Frank Navarrette, Richard Navarrette, and Jack Navarrette.
Mary was beloved by her family, she had a feisty spirit, always gave more than she had, and loved unconditionally. Her loss is a great one and she will be missed dearly by all who knew her and were lucky enough to have her beautiful presence in their life.
Mary’s visitation and will be held from 6-8 PM on Wednesday, February 7, 2018 at Hillier Funeral Home in College Station, Texas with a rosary to begin at 7 PM. Mary’s Funeral Mass will be at 11 AM on Thursday February 8, 2018 at St. Thomas Aquinas Catholic Church in College Station, Texas, followed by a reception that will be a time for friends and family to share stories and celebrate Mary’s life.
