Lois Cummings Peacock, 85, of College Station went to be with her Lord and Savior and was finally reunited with her husband, Glynn and son, Alan on Saturday, May 13, 2017.
Visitation will be held on Saturday, May 20 at 1:00 p.m. to be followed by a celebration of life service at 2:00 p.m. at Hillier Funeral Home in College Station. Bill Wiman of First Baptist Church, Bryan will officiate.
Lois was born on October 14, 1931 to Lacy and Zenobia Cummings in Pembroke, NC. Following graduation from Kings Business College, she married Glynn Peacock in 1957. They relocated to Fort Worth, Texas where they welcomed their only son, Alan Dale in 1958. After residing in Houston, they moved to College Station in 1978.
She was a member of First Baptist Church in Bryan where she faithfully served until she was no longer able to attend.
She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, son, her two brothers, Orson and Leverne Cummings, her sister Loretta and husband, Rae Padgett and her niece Aimee Stein.
Survivors include her sisters-in-law, Joan and Diane Cummings, nephew Scott Padgett and wife Sharon, niece Danielle Bradford and husband Jeremy and niece Rachel Cummings. She is also survived by her extended family; Doris Shimshack, Dottie Hightower, Vance & Julie Goss, and Ronnie & Gay Craig.
