Valorie Ann Greer

Valorie Ann Greer, 58, traveled to the stars to meet her celestial guide on December 24, 2017. She was born on July 28, 1958, in El Paso, Texas. Her early years were spent in Nacogdoches, Texas. She moved to Bryan to start 8th grade, finishing her education with a degree from Bryan High School & Texas A&M University where she majored in Psychology & minored in Business, Sociology & Women Studies. She was a member of PSI CHI National Honor Society.

After college, she remained in Bryan & worked as the Assistant Director & Volunteer Coordinator for the (then) Brazos County Rape Crisis Center. She later moved to the Dallas area & worked as the Corporate Office Manager for S&W Beverages. She returned to her hometown after that and worked as the Sales Representative for the Bryan/College Station Chamber of Commerce. She then entered the hospitality field and moved to Galveston, Texas, where she acted as the Manager of Lasting Impressions for the San Luis Hotel, Spa & Conference Center. She ended her career in Houston as the Guest Services Manager for the Omni Houston Hotel. During her life and after retiring, she was a professional organizer.

She enjoyed gymnastics, playing fast-pitch softball, dancing & teaching dance, photography, working with the public and helping others in any way she could.

Valorie is survived by her mother, Wanda Knight Greer, her brother and sister-in-law, Gregg Only Greer & Beverly Dunham-Greer, and her nephews, Liam Scott Harrison Greer & Benjamin Only Greer. She was preceded in death by her father, John Only Greer.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, December 28, 2017 from 4-6 pm. A Celebration of her life will be held on Friday, December 29, 2017 at 2pm Hillier Funeral Home of Bryan.
