Steve Morgan, 70, of Bryan, went to be with his Lord on July 14, 2017. There will be a memorial service held to celebrate his life on Thursday, July 20th at 10 am at Hillier Funeral Home of Bryan.

Steve was born on April 15, 1947 to Robert Berry and Catherine Weinschrott in Miles City, Montana. He graduated from Blinn with an associates of arts degree in 2012, and Texas A&M with a Bachelor’s Degree in the study of history in 2014. His passion for history always was made known in every interaction he had with family and friends. His exceptional memory of dates amazed everyone he came into contact with.

Steven passionately served his country as a marine in the Vietnam conflict, and later joined the Air Force to continue his service. He was awarded multiple medals as well as other significant recognitions for his bravery and putting his country before himself. Steven loved to garden, and could never turn a stray cat away. He was very dedicated to his wife, who was the love of his life. He cared for her in her greatest times of need.

Steven is proceeded in death by his parents and brother Walt.

Steven leaves behind his loving wife of 35 years, Elizabeth Ann Morgan; sisters, Sandy (Dennis) Kirchheck of Miles City MT., Liz (Dewayne) Brock of Plant City FL., Amanda Berry of North Carolina; his stepdaughters, Lana Wilganowski and husband Clay, Diana Mazoch and husband Al; a stepson, Jack (Bubba) Deason and fiancée Theresa Davis; grandchildren: Krista Mushinski, Amanda Redman, Kassi Dodd, Jennifer Staggs, Christopher Runyon, and Michael Deason; nephews Justin Kirchheck, and Jared Brock, as well as numerous great grandchildren.
