They bought acerage in El Cajon (San Diego County) where they developed an avocado ranch with Rosemary's parents. All their children attended school in El Cajon and became university graduates.
Rosemary was a wonderful homemaker and caring mother. She was an excellent seamstress, making dresses for her daughters and costumes for several community theatres. After the children left home she became a certified Spanish and Latin teacher, teaching gifted and high school students. Her greatest joy was being with her children and grandchildren.
