Reynaldo Godinez

On Friday August 30th, Reynaldo Godinez Martinez, loving husband and father of 2 children, passed away at the age of 58.
Rey was born in Jalisco Mexico on February 11, 1961 to Alfredo and Maria Teresa Godinez. His work included tree and landscaping care for the Bryan College Station area for the past 20 years. In 1989 he married Rosalinda Ibañez Estrella. They raised two kids, Emmanuel and Cristal.
Rey grew up on a ranch with several brothers and sisters. He loved playing soccer at a young age and held a passion for the sport throughout his life. He enjoyed cheering on his favorite teams the Chivas and the Mexico National team. He was also an avid Texas A&M football fan. He enjoyed working outside and knew the importance of hard work at a young age. Some of his hobbies included gardening, working on cars, carpentry, playing with his dogs Lucky, Rocky, Palomo and his beloved Muñeco as well as spending time with friends and family, frequently gathering every other week to celebrate a special occasion.
Rey was very friendly, generous, and eccentric. He was considered everyone's favorite uncle and the life of the party. He was a true character, and his kind and gentle spirit lit up the room. He made friends everywhere he went and always tried to give a helping hand. He loved his family very much and prided himself in always being a good provider.
Rey is survived by his wife Rosalinda, his two children, Emmanuel, and Cristal, his siblings, Sergio, Elias, Dora, Blanca, Juan, and several nieces, nephews and cousins.
He will always be remembered in the hearts of his family and friends and will never be forgotten.
