Raymond Murphy, 85, of Edge, Texas, went to be with his Lord on 08/16/2017. A time for family to receive friends will be from 3 to 4 PM on August 18, 2017, at Hillier Funeral Home of Bryan, with a funeral service to begin at 4 PM. Interment will follow at Bryan City Cemetery.
Raymond was born on September 20, 1931 to James Henry and Oma (Duncan) Murphy in Edge, Texas and was a member of Edge Baptist Church.
He is preceded in death by his parents and siblings, Garland Murphy and Viola Murphy Harlin.
Raymond leaves behind his children, Jo Ann Sims, Doug English and Christi English; sisters, Mattie Gerke, Ella Mae Thomas and Billie Walcott; five grandchildren, three great-grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.
