Margo was born May 1, 1931 in Nacogdoches, Texas to Dallas and Nena (Starling) Feazell. She attended SFA Demonstration School in Nacogdoches for grades K-12, and graduated from Stephen F. Austin State University in 1950 with a degree in Education. She later completed her Master’s degree in Guidance and Counseling from McNeese State University. She taught various grade levels and subjects through the years but the majority of her teaching career was spent as a Junior High School science teacher in Nederland and Bridge City schools. She met her future husband, A.J. “Sonny” Davis, on a blind date and following a whirlwind courtship they were married on May 11, 1952 in Nacogdoches, Texas. They spent many happy years together raising four children, working, traveling, camping and generally enjoying their family and each other. Margo enjoyed music and played the organ in her local church for many years. She had many talents and hobbies including knitting, painting, gardening, cooking, canning and crocheting (her family and friends will always treasure the beautiful afghans she so lovingly created for us through the years!) She was a strong Christian woman who believed in helping others and was devoted to her family and friends.
Margo was preceded in death by her parents, brother, George Feazell, eldest son Stoney Davis and her infant daughter, Mary Rose Davis. She is survived by her loving husband of 66 years, A.J. Davis, Sr., as well as her remaining children and their spouses; Drew (Terry) Davis of Glen Rose, Kevin (Joan) Davis of College Station, and Traci (Rusty) Morris of Orange. She is also survived by 5 grandchildren and 4 great grandchildren, Sara (Brandon) King and their daughters Kendall and Piper of Lubbock, Jacob (Lauren) Davis and son Theo of Katy, Joshua Morris and son Cayden of Orange, Jenna Davis and Katie Davis of College Station and many other dear family members and friends.
