Margaret Curtis, of Bryan, Texas, passed into Heaven on Thursday, September 16, 2021. Although she had many titles and honors, she will most be remembered for her great love and generosity to her family and friends.

Her many accomplishments include Partner/Owner in various companies and corporations pertaining to the field of aviation such as Aircraft Sales, Finance, Flying Service, and Crop Dusting. She piloted her own airplane in the All Woman's Powder Puff Derby. She was Director of the National Aero Club; Controller of Airway Underwriters Insurance Group; Corporate Officer and Comptroller of various Corporations in Development, Construction, Management, Real Estate, Investments, and Computer Business, as well as an Insurance Agent for Life and Commercial Property. In her latter years, Mrs. Curtis worked in management of Real Estate Property, Farms, and Investments. She was also a volunteer with the North American Mission Board and Crestview Retirement Community.

Mrs. Curtis was a Charter Member of the American Business Women's Association and was named Woman of the Year in 1981.

Her involvement with the First Baptist Church of Bryan includes her children's baptisms and marriages, Director of Senior Adult Council, Director of Homebound Ministry, Young at Heart, Keeping in Touch, the First Baptist Church of Bryan Foundation, Outreach Leader, member of Raborn WMU, and Esther Circle Bible Study.

Mrs. Curtis was enrolled in Theatre Arts Classes at Texas A&M, becoming one of the first "Maggies" at the university before women were admitted.

Those that will miss her most are her son, Don Curtis, Jr, and wife Kathy, of Bryan, Texas; daughter, Lee Ann Curtis Head and husband, Rick Head, of Canton, GA; grandson, Timothy Head and wife, Annie Kate, great-granddaughters, Sophia and Johanna of Cumming, GA; and grandson, Matthew Head and wife, Riann, great-grandchildren, Ayden and Ashlyn of Canton, GA.

We thank the Lord for giving Mom 92 years on this earth to be an example and help us all to learn what love really means.

A Graveside Service will be held for Mrs. Margaret Curtis on Monday, September 20th at 11:00 AM at College Station City Cemetery off of Texas Avenue.
