Lorna Lou Calkins Bye, age 85, of Bryan, passed away Sunday, February 4, 2018, at Crestview Nursing Home.
Lorna was born on January 13, 1933, in Eau Claire, Wisconsin, to Paul Calkins and Helen Hoeppner Calkins. She married Richard (Dick) Bye on October 31, 1953. They were blessed with three sons. Survivors include her loving husband of 64 years, Richard (Dick) Bye; sons and daughters-in-law, Richard and Cathy Bye of Cypress, Jeffrey and Melissa Bye of Sandisfield, Massachusetts, and Michael and Teresa Bye of Bryan; four grandchildren, Laura and husband, Justin Rosenhagen, Lisa and husband Ben Fuller, Jacob Bye, Jessica and husband, Jake Morton. She also leaves behind four great-grandchildren: Avery and Mia Rosenhagen, Bryce Fuller, and Rowen Morton, brother and sister-in-law, Bruce and Joyce Calkins, and sister, Midge Amend.
Funeral services will be held at Hillier-Funeral Home in Bryan on Friday, February 9, 2018, at 10 am. Interment will follow at Mount Pleasant Cemetery in Franklin at 12:30 pm.
