She was born on November 15, 1967 to David Townsend and Dolores McCoy Marrs, in Dallas, Texas. She grew up in Jacksonville, Texas, until the seventh grade and then completed hight school in Rockdale, Texas. As a child she was imaginative, playful, and determined, Known early for unusual answers, when asked at age four what she wanted to be when she grew up she calmly and thoughtfully replied, "Rich."

She graduated cum laude from Bauder Fashion College. She had an eye for beauty and style! She was very creative and enjoyed painting her clothes and shoes with her own designs. She was truly magic when it came to skin care and fashion.
Lisa loved her family more than anything, especially her daughter. She loved large inclusive family gatherings. Many will remember her beauty, her innocence, her determination, and how much she loved everyone.
