Leonard Landriault

Leonard Landriault passed away Friday, September 14, 2018 at the age of 75.
Leonard was born December 22, 1942 in Texas City to Lydia and Arthur Landriault. One of seven sons, Leonard grew up playing baseball. He played Little League when he was young, then progressed to playing as a student at Clear Creek High School in League City. He held many records in the sport.
Leonard was blessed with four children during his first marriage of 18 years. After that marriage ended, he met the love of his life. He and Irene were together for forty years, and blended their families into a happy mixture of eleven, with their nine combined children. To him, there was no such thing as “step,” he loved all his children. They were his life. He enjoyed hiding stuff from the kids and then telling them, “I know it didn’t just grow legs and walk off.” When the kids were younger, he would take the whole family on vacation each year. He would search and search until he found a hotel with a pool, and then he would load everyone up in the van. They would listen to Loretta Lynn, Conway Twitty, Kenny Rogers, Dolly Parton, and Alabama all the way to their destination. Once the grandkids came along, he was a caring and loving grandpa and was proud of them all.
Leonard worked as a pipefitter for over 50 years, having started at a very young age. He belonged to the local union 211 pipefitters and was a member of the Elks Lodge. When he wasn’t working, he enjoyed playing casino video games and going to all the grandkids games. Every Saturday he watched his Longhorns play. He will be remembered as being a strong and handsome Papo with a loving grin and caring ways. His stories will continue to be told, along with anecdotes of his wild and crazy younger years.
Leonard leaves behind his wife Irene Landriault, his son Leonard B. Landriault Jr., his daughter and son-in-law Georgia and Ron Miller, his daughter Alberta Terry, his daughter Angela Landriault, his daughter Amanda Walkoviak, his daughter and son-in-law Allison and Jeremy Matthieu, his daughter Amy Marshall, his son Ashley Marshall, his grandchildren Lauren Miller, Steven and Shanda Munoz, John and Marianna Marshall, Willie Rosales, Nathan Miller, Phillip Perez, Anthony Montilva, Kevin Montilva, Nicolas Perez, Caitlyn Marshall, Christopher Marshall, Bailey Solis, Katelyn Matthieu, Carolyn Dobson Landing, Travis Landriault, Justin Landriault, and Chase Casimiro. He also leaves five great-grandchildren, his brother and sister-in-law Dallas and Mable Landriault, his brother Johnny Landriault, and his brother and sister-in-law Roger and Sarah Landriault.
