Joshua Medina Sr. passed away August 7, 2018 at the age of 40 due to a car accident.
Josh was born April 7, 1978 in Bryan to Clementine Ledezma and Jesse Ramirez Medina, Sr. Also raised by father Cristobal Ledezma. Growing up with his four brothers Mark Anthony Arredondo, Jason Medina, Jesse Ramirez Medina Jr., and Matthew Antonio Medina. Josh attended Bryan High School. He loved watching the Spurs, Cowboys, and Texas A&M football.
It was in his teenage years that Josh met his future wife, Angelia Renee Alvarado. They met and were married in Bryan. He was blessed with four children: Destiny Renee Medina, Joshua Medina Jr., Ruben Anthony Medina, and Moses Alou Medina. They meant everything to him, and he always placed his wife and children before himself. He enjoyed spending time with them, and loved to take them out for late night snacks such as ice cream or snow cones.
Josh took his role as the provider very seriously. He always did his best to make sure his family had everything they needed. He worked for Hoss Electric, and was working towards becoming an electrician. He was known for always being a hard worker. He was known to be a giver and had a big heart. He always tried to help those in need. Joshua also had a very funny side. He had the best jokes and could always make people laugh. He was the funniest person.
Although he leaves behind his whole family, including his wife Angelia Renee Medina, parents Clementine Ledezma and husband Cristobal, Jesse Ramirez Medina, Sr. and wife Ann Marie, father-in-law Solomon Alvarado and wife Patricia, children Destiny Renee Medina, Joshua Medina Jr., Ruben Anthony Medina, Moses Alou Medina, brothers Mark Anthony Arredondo, Jason Medina, Jesse Ramirez Medina Jr. and wife Amanda, and Matthew Antonio Medina Sr. and wife Sarah all from Bryan, Texas, sisters Priscillia Ann Rodriguez and husband Daniel and Jessica Renee Arellano and Husband Robert all from Houston, Texas, numerous nieces, nephews, uncles, aunts, extended family and friends. They can all rejoice that Joshua loved God with all his heart. He was so confident in his faith, that he always said he knew where he was going, and that was with his creator.
To honor Josh’s life, his family has planned a Celebration Gathering, which will be held from 5 pm to 8 pm on Tuesday, August 14, 2018, at Hillier Funeral Home of Bryan. A Celebration of Life will be held at 10 am on Wednesday, August 15, 2018, at Hillier Funeral Home of Bryan. Interment will follow at Bryan City Cemetery with a reception at SOS Ministries.
