Joe Garcia, a caring and comedic man, was born on January 20, 1954, in Mumford, Texas, to Josephine Hernandez and Enrique Garcia. Joe grew up in Mumford, with his huge family of six brothers, Tony, Henry, Pedro, Jim, Tim, and Leo, and his four sisters, Margaret, Janie ,Mary, and Sally. Joe found work as a kiln fireman at Sant-Gobin: Norpo, which became his career for the next 34 years.

Joe was blessed to meet the love of his life, Gloria, while bowling in Bryan. They married on June 9, 1973, and began a family soon after. They had three children together, Derrick, Stephanie, and Aaron, and welcomed each one in to their family with joy and love. Joe loved being a Dad, it made his life complete. The days his kids were born was the most important days of his life. As his kids grew up and started their own families, Joe found joy in being a grandfather to his grandkids. He loved having everyone over to watch aggie football! Joe also loved going to races with his boys. Family was everything to Joe.

Joe loved to laugh and joke! He joked just so that everyone could laugh, he loved making people laugh. Joe also had a passion for die-cast cars and farm tractors. He enjoyed being involved in car clubs and racing clubs. If he wasn't watching the aggies, he was watching the Street Outlaws TV show and NHRA! Joe also enjoyed watching sports, not just his Aggies, but the dad's beloved Houston Astros too!

Joe will be remembered by his loving wife, Gloria Garcia; children, Derrick Garcia, Stephanie and husband Jose Bustos, and Aaron and wife Ruby Garcia; grandchildren, Mackenzie Bustos, Eli Bustos, Aubrey Bustos, Everly Garcia, Blaine Garcia, and Dessiray Garcia and David Garcia; and siblings, Tony Garcia and wife Lupe, Henry Garcia Jr. and wife Lucinda, Pedro Garcia, Jim Garcia and Sylvia, Tim Garcia and Rachel, Leo Garcia and wife Margaret, Margaret Rapp and husband Darrell, Mary Chavarria and husband Frankie, and Sally Chavarria and husband Leo Jr.
