Frank Buell, 91 of Bryan, Texas, went to be with his Lord on June 23, 2017. A Memorial Service will be held on Sunday, June 25 at 3:00 pm at Hillier Funeral Home of Bryan.
Frank was born on May 16, 1926 to Annabel Garvin and Erwin Clyde Buell in Roanoke, Texas. He graduated from High School in Pilot Point, Texas in 1943 and graduated from North Texas State College with three degrees in Education, Bachelor of Education, Master of Education and Doctor of Education.
Frank was an active member of several Baptist churches over the years and served as a Deacon at the First Baptist Church of Carrollton, Texas when he lived there. He was also involved with The Rotary Club in Hurst, Texas organizing their volunteering in schools program and serving as president. He loved gardening and reading.
He is preceded in death by his parents and his beloved wife of 60 years Gloria.
Frank leaves behind his daughter Becky and her husband Steve Carr, grandchildren Elizabeth Carr and husband Dale Smith, Jr. of Alexandria, LA; Jessica Carr of Lewisville, Texas; and Wendy Carr of Bryan, and one great-grandson Joseph.
As an expression of sympathy, memorial contributions may be sent to Rotary International.
