Fidencio Martinez Rodriguez Jr.

Retired Command Sergeant Major Fidencio M. “Rod” Rodriguez Jr., passed away peacefully in his home on November 17, 2018, in the care of Traditions Hospice, Signatures Select Homecare Services and Central Texas Veterans Healthcare System Service.

Fidencio was born March 21, 1937 in Alice, TX to Fidencio Rodriguez Sr and Paula Rodriguez. He has one brother Sonny Rodriguez, two sisters, Tencha Rodriguez and Dalia Rodriguez, all of Alice, TX.

Fidencio lived in Corpus Christi, TX, then moved his family to College Station, TX, where he served 41 years of military services in the Navy (stationed in Hawaii) and Army Reserve – Corp Engineer as a budget Analyst (Bryan and Houston, TX).

Fidencio was married to Yolanda M. Rodriguez for 58 years and have 4 children, son Javier M. Rodriguez - wife Elena Rodriguez, daughter Veronica M. Rodriguez, son Joel M. Rodriguez – wife Lynnea Parker Rodriguez, son Jorge M. Rodriguez.

Fidencio has 7 grandchildren, Corey Rodriguez, Kelly Catalena, Hope Rodriguez, Andrew Rodriguez, Kelsie Fowler - Rodriguez, Sidney Rodriguez, Wesley Rodriguez, and 1 great grandchild, Leland Rodriguez.

A visitation will be held from 5-8 Pm with a Rosary and Vigil Service to begin at 6:30 PM on Tuesday, November 20, 2018 at Hillier Funeral Home of COLLEGE STATION. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10 AM on Wednesday, November 21, 2018 with Final Military Honors to follow. Burial will be at Houston National Cemetery.
