Dale Wooldridge, 87, of Uvalde, Texas went to be with the Lord on September 26, 2017. Dale was born in Campwood, Texas on May 31, 1930 to William and Stella (Winans) Wooldridge.
As a young man, Dale proudly served in the U.S. Army where provided artillery training to troops shipped off to Korea while stationed at Ft. Jackson, Alabama. He later graduated from Southwest Texas State University. Dale retired from the Texas Department of Agriculture after 30 years of dedicated service.
Dale was a quiet man with a strong faith in God. He was a founding member and elder of the Trinity Fellowship Church. Dale was proud of his work with the Gideons and was also a Mason. Many of his days began at Sunrise Restaurant where he enjoyed a hot cup of coffee, a quick bite to eat, and a friendly conversation or two.
Dale is survived by his wife Phyllis (Daugherty) Wooldridge, son Jason Wooldridge, and daughters Susan Sloop, Sonja Cass, Dawn Walker, Lisa Frizzell, and their families including his grandchildren Eli Wooldridge, Nathan and Reba Sloop, Michael and Misty Cass, Bailey Tamplen, Courtney Walker, Ashley Johnson, and Ray and Brady Frizzell. Dale had a big heart, a beautiful smile, and a quick wit. He is loved and will be missed dearly.
