Carol Parry, 78, College Station, passed away on August 29, 2021. A Life Celebration will be held on Tuesday, September 7, 2021, at 1 pm, at Grace Bible Church Southwood campus, with a reception to follow.
Carol was born on March 22, 1943, in Wichita Falls, Texas to Carolyn and Harry Feather. Although she was an only child, she was surrounded by aunts, uncles, and cousins who were near and dear to her heart. She graduated from Wichita Falls High School in 1961 and from TCU with an education degree in 1965.
Carol enjoyed 56 wonderful years with the love of her life, George Parry. Though they met in high school, their love for each other didn't blossom until their college years. They spent their years together building a beautiful family full of love, laughter, and joy. So many of those years were shared with many friends and family at Possum Kingdom Lake.
She loved traveling with her children and grandchildren, especially to the mountains. She also loved traveling and spending time with her friends as well as attending many reunions with her family and extended family.
Carol was an amazing cook. She loved to bake chocolate chip cookies, breads, and casseroles for her family and friends.
Carol loved people with a sincerity and kindness that was apparent to all. She had a calming way about her that could put anyone at ease. She had a strong but quiet faith. You could see it in the way she loved others unconditionally. She will be remembered for her servant's heart and ability to encourage those around her.
She will be missed tremendously by her loving husband, George Parry; her children Mark Parry and his wife Susan Parry, Ann Formby and her husband Derrick Formby, and Sara Moffitt and her husband Steve Moffitt; her grandchildren Laurel Parry, Reed Parry, Jake Parry, Anna Claire Formby, Ella Kate Formby, Ben Formby, Sam Moffitt, Eli Moffitt, Jude Moffitt, and Gracie Mae Moffitt.
Carol had a passion for encouraging and loving people well. Her favorite place to teach was in the life skills classroom at Graham High School. When the BEE Community started a couple years ago she fell in love with the mission to provide a place for people to work and belong. She loved to visit the artisans there and see what they were creating. As a way to honor Carol, the family would love for any donations to be made to the BEE community so that the artisans can continue to find a place to work and belong.
