Brian Thompson

On February 5, 2019 Brian Thompson, loving husband and father of 2 children, passed away at age 54.

Brian was born on December 24, 1964 in Big Spring, TX to Jim and Berniece Thompson. His family moved to Bryan in 1974. He graduated from Bryan High School in 1983. He received his bachelor's degree in Computer Science from Texas A&M University in 1988, and worked as a software developer in Bryan at Fields Financial Services where he met his wife Kelly and then worked at Teneo Software in College Station. In 1996, he married Kelly. Together they raised two daughters, Amy and Cassie.

Brian had a passion for sports- football, baseball and golf; he was a dedicated Aggie, Cowboy, Astros, Rangers and PGA tour fan. He also loved to read, do all sorts of puzzles such as crosswords, jigsaw, sudoku and listen loved to music.

He is survived by his parents Jim and Berniece Thompson, his wife Kelly, his 2 children Amy and Cassie, his brother Mike, and several cousins, nieces, and a nephew.

To honor Brian’s life, a funeral service will be held on Saturday, February 16, 2019 at First Baptist Church of College Station, Texas at 10:00 AM. Interment will be at Bryan City Cemetery on Saturday, February 16, 2019 at 1:00 PM.
