Antonia Galindo

On November 26, 2019, Antonia Galindo left this world to celebrate Thanksgiving with the Lord and all of her loved ones.

Antonia was born on June 2, 1928 in Mayfield, Texas. At the age of two years old, she was adopted by her loving parents, Lucio and Concepcion Vasquez. She grew up in a big family, with six siblings; Ernesto, Paul, Jose, Esperanza, Emiliana, and Rosa. Antonia enjoyed a happy and carefree childhood!

Antonia married the love of her life, Moises Galindo Sr. on February 17, 1946 at St. Anthony's Church in Bryan, Texas. Antonia and Moises had a beautiful life together and a long marriage filled with love for 46 years. Like Antonia's upbringing, she wanted a huge family! Antonia and Moises had fifteen children together. They became their pride and joy and the light of their life.

Antonia was all about family. She loved to spoil her children and grandchildren, and they liked to spoil her just as much! She always made sure everyone was happy so she always had a stash of their favorite candy or lollipops on hand to give to the kids. Going to play Mexican Bingo with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren was one of her fondest memories. Her gambling spirit didn't stop at bingo, as she loved the slot machines and lottery scratch-off tickets. With one of her favorite casino trips being to Laughlin, Nevada with her two sisters. At home, Antonia loved to watch Novellas with her "chip potatoes," as she would call them, and read the 'National Enquirer' magazine. She was known to enjoy McDonald's Happy Meals and trips to the Dollar Store. Antonia enjoyed the little things in life, and found joy in everything she did.

Antonia will be remembered as a generous, happy, chatterbox by her family and friends. She was one that would light up the room and spread her joy with anyone that came in contact with her. She wanted everyone to be happy and made sure she did whatever she could to put a smile on anyone and everyone's face. Antonia was never caught without her makeup and nails done. Always looking her best wherever she went. Her loving spirit will be remembered fondly by her family for all the joy she brought them.
Surviving are her children, Cecelia Gongora and husband Felix, Moises Galindo Jr., Mary Galindo Warrior, Margaret Sandoval and husband Richard, Fay Tenorio and husband Carlos, Victoria Hernandez and husband Edward, Sabeno Galindo and wife Janice, Audencio Galindo Sr. and wife Olga, Annie Munguia and husband Joe, and Delia Mandujano and husband John; her thirty two grandchildren, and her thirty eight great-grandchildren.

She will be joining in heaven her husband, Moises Galindo Sr.; her parents, Lucio and Concepcion Vasquez, and her five children, Theresa, Stella, Lupe, Ben, and Nasario.
