Amy Elizabeth Schverak Anderson, born on January 27, 1967, was called home to be with her Lord and Savior on July 17, 2017. She was a beloved daughter, sister, aunt, wife and mother. Amy was passionate about educating children and developing teachers. She earned her bachelor’s, masters’ and doctoral degrees in Education and she leaves a lasting legacy with countless children and teachers. She married Sidney Anderson on June 26, 2004. She took special delight in her daughter and son, Allyse and Aiden, and was enormously involved as each pursued their special gifts and talents. Every day with Amy was a blessing. No one loved holidays more than Amy and her ability to find ways to celebrate was limitless. She was filled with love and humor and beauty, so much that it spilled out of her and bettered the lives of every soul she touched.

Amy is survived by her husband Sid, children Allyse Mckinlay and Aiden James, parents, Milam and Francine Schverak, sister Emily Schverak Lee and her husband John, nieces Olivia Kate and Evelyn John. She also leaves behind her mother and father-in-law, Martha and James Anderson, sister-in-law Margaret Anderson-Brown and her husband Trey, nephews & niece Robert Scott, William Zachary and Sara Lynn, brother-in-law Scott Anderson and his wife Pamela, nephews Grant James & Ryan Scott.

Amy's visitation will be held from 6-8 PM on Thursday, July 20, 2017 at Hillier Funeral Home of College Station, and a memorial service will be held Friday, July 21st at 10:00 a.m. at Christ United Methodist Church in College Station, Texas.
