Alexandra Gutierrez

Alexandra "Alex" Yvette Gutierrez, 28, of Bryan, Texas, passed away on October 12, 2021. A visitation will take place at Hillier of Bryan on Friday, October 22, from 5-8 pm with a Rosary to start at 6 pm. A Mass of Christian Burial will take place at St. Joseph Catholic Church on Saturday, October 23, at 11:30 am with a graveside to follow at Restever Memorial Park.

Alex was born on September 7, 1993, in College Station, Texas, to her parents, Carlos Gutierrez and Lupe Hernandez. She spent her childhood growing up in Bryan with her cousins and sister, Michelle. As a child, Alex attended religious education classes at Santa Teresa Catholic Church. She participated in the Ballet Folklorico at church and even won Queen of the Jamaica. During her teen years, Alex enjoyed playing softball at Nowak Field, hanging out with friends and family, listening to music, and dancing.

The most important things in Alex's life were her family, faith, and children. She strived to be the best mother she could for her four beautiful children, Londynn, Jordan, Glenn, and Asli. They were her whole world.

Alex was very proud of her Mexican heritage. One of her favorite memories was the time her and her parents went to see family in Jerez, Zacatecas Mexico. It was a very special trip and she always wanted to visit again.

Alex was a loving, joyful, and caring woman. She was an optimist and always saw the best in people. Her beautiful smile could brighten even the darkest of days and her laugh was contagious. Alex always put others before herself and was very selfless and humble. She will be missed by all who knew her.

Alex is survived by her children, Londynn Green, Jordan Green, Glenn Marsh III, and Asli Marsh; parents, Carlos Gutierrez and Lupe Hernandez; sister, Michelle Dimas and husband Jose Dimas; niece, Valarie Dimas; partner, Glenn Marsh II; father of her two oldest children, Deavon Green; and numerous aunts, uncles, and cousins.
