Daniel Graham "Wiggie" Towell Jr. passed away February 19, 2019, at the age of 61. Daniel was born in Bryan to Annie Marie and Daniel Graham Towell, Sr. His father worked as a truck driver while his mother took care of the family and home. Growing up in Bryan, Daniel was the oldest of five children. Daniel and his siblings were very close in age, and he enjoyed running around town.
Daniel just loved working on cars and that was his career for more than 40 years. When he wasn’t working, Daniel enjoyed watching western movies and listening to oldies music. He loved eating junk food like pork skins and bean dip and fudge stripes cookies with milk. He was known to make a mean pot of beans.
Daniel was married to his loving wife Pamila Towell for 25 years until her death in 2011. Daniel loved to joke with his kids Camelia, Nicholas, Amanda, and Scooter. He did not have a mean bone in his body, and he loved dogs.
A very simple man, Daniel wanted and loved his routine, and could always be found with a flashlight on him and with pens in his pocket. He was very old school, and his jokes were often inappropriate, but he loved to make people laugh with his “pull my finger” and “watch the boys.” He will be fondly remembered for his trademark jingle when he walked and by his personal scent, BRUT spray.
Daniel is glad to be reunited with his beloved wife Pamila, his parents, and his brothers Roy and David Towell. He leaves behind his daughter and son-in-law Camelia and David Richards, his son Nicholas Bauer, his daughter and son-in-law Amanda and DJ Ricks, his son Daniel Towell III, his brother Dale Towell, his sister Christy Garcia, his grandchildren Ronnie Rice, Austin Rice, Alexis Rice, Colt Richards, Buddy Bauer, Bailey Bauer, Lilyann Ricks, and Avery Grace Ricks, as well as many other loving family members and treasured friends. To honor his life, his family has planned a visitation on Friday, February 22, 2019, from 5-8 PM at Hillier Funeral Home of Bryan.
