Anna Belle Macey

Anna Belle Macey went to be with the LORD on February 20, 2020, at age 87.

Anna Belle was born on September 27, 1932 in Houston, Texas, to Hattie and Giles Praetoruis. Her mom was a school teacher and her dad was a tug boat captain. She grew up in Baytown as the oldest of 3 girls. She attended Robert E. Lee High School in Baytown where she played the saxophone and even traveled to Chicago with the band to perform. Anna Belle had many friends in school that she stayed in contact with her entire life. She attended Lee College and University of Houston.

In 1956, Anna Belle married Wallace J. Macey. She enjoyed accounting and worked for Parker Brothers, Humble Oil Company then later for John Walzel Jewelers. Anna Belle loved her family, shopping and eating. She was rather quiet but very smart and straight-forward.

Anna Belle was preceded in death by her parents and sister and brother-in-law Yvonne and Daniel Heintschel. She is survived by her husband Wallace, daughter Laura and husband Chuck Martin, son Wally Jr., grandson Joseph Macey, sister and brother-in-law Marlene and Marcy Snider, brother-in-law K.E. Macey, and numerous nieces and nephews. She was a member of St Joseph Church in Bryan, Texas.

A visitation will be held from 5:30-7:30 pm on Tuesday, February 25, 2020, at Hillier Funeral Home of College Station, with a funeral service to begin at 11 am on Wednesday, February 26, 2020, also at the funeral home. Interment will follow at the College Station Memorial Cemetery.
