Mark Hnatiuk

Mark Hnatiuk

Mark was born in Boulder, Colorado. The family moved to Lisle, Illinois, in 1950. He graduated from the University of Illinois in 1976 with a B.S. in Structural Engineering. He spent many years working in building structures, off shore oil platforms, nuclear power plants and aircraft. During this time he lived in 12 states and travelled through most of the U.S. He was an NRA certified pistol and rifle instructor. He participated in IPSC, USPSA, Steel Challenge and SASS competitions. He enjoyed CMP competition with his rifle. Mark was also an excellent hunter and fisherman. He moved from San Antonio to College Station and retired from engineering. He drove CSISD school bus for 2 years and loved all the children on his routes. He enjoyed ham radio and was a member and past president of the Bryan Radio Club.

He is preceded in death by his parents Michael and Marge; brothers John and Luke; and sister Mary.
He is survived by his wife, Sally Ann (Tash); son Matthew and twin daughters, Stacey Phetteplace and Tracey Sadler; sister Michele Janowiak; and numerous grandchildren, nieces and nephews.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at St. Joseph Catholic Church on Saturday, February 22, 2020, at 10 am with a reception to follow.

Mark would appreciate donations made to Hospice Brazos Valley or your favorite charity.
