Alice loved animals, in particular cats and horses. Her accomplishments were legion. She was a diplomate at the American College of Veterinary Internal Medicine and the American College of Feline Medicine. She was a professor emeritus at Texas A&M University. She was a Senior Internal Medical consultant for the Veterinary Information Network and consultant to Merial

Alice was on the Board of Directors at the North American Peruvian Horse Association and Founder and President of the Camino Peruvian Horse Association.

However, the most important thing to Alice was the fact that she was a Christian and loved Jesus Christ. Everything in her life was exemplary of her faith.
