Tracey Lee Lynch

Tracey Lee Lynch, 57, passed away August 1, 2017.
Tracey began her incredibly full life on November 3, 1959 in Alton, IL when she was born to Harry Allen and Muriel Ann (Sparks) Turnbeaugh. One of six children, Tracey grew up as a tomboy, playing softball and being outdoors. She spent majority of her time however with her siblings, grandmother and great-aunt.
Tracey’s life was filled with love. At the age of 16 she married Mark Duvall and moved to Spain. They had two boys together, Jason and Dean. She later married James Smith and the two were blessed with two girls, Vanessa and Aja. In 1988 Tracey married Craig Lynch, with whom she had her daughter Megan. She and Craig were married for 15 years until he passed away. Tracey’s family was very important to her. She was proud of all her children, and her personality was mirrored in them. She was especially proud that her youngest daughter Megan was in the Navy.
Tracey went to Tyler Junior College to become a registered nurse. She went to school at night and often had to take her children with her to class. The day she graduated from nursing school was one of the best in her life. She always worked on call and frequent overtime to make sure that her children never went without, and always had what they needed. She has been praised and recognized on countless occasions for her dedication and hard work within her 27 years as an RN, but being recognized as one of the Top 25 Nurses at Baylor Scott and White was one of her most profound achievements. Tracey has spent the last 7 years at Baylor Scott and White as a surgical RN in the Cardiovascular Unit, helping to not only improve the quality of life for others but also save it.
Tracey had a well-rounded variety of hobbies and interests. She loved sewing and cross-stitch. She stayed true to her tomboy nature even in her adult life, she was a fan of baseball and loved nothing more than going camping in the great outdoors. Traveling, especially to the beach, good wine, and food also added joy to her life. Above all, she loved her children and made sure they were well prepared for life. She made sure to teach each of her five kids the important life lessons of how to cook, clean, do laundry, manage finances, and how to always have a plan. Her planning and list making helped to make her the family voice of reason. When things did not go as planned, she often told her children to “put on your big girl panties and deal with it”.
Tracey loved being Uhma to her eight grandchildren: Dean Edward Duvall Jr., Sebastian Camus Aranda, Brenson LaKeith Smith, Cheyann Lee Nugent, Addison Marie Nugent, Layla Marie Duvall, Brooke Rose Nienstedt, and Kayden Patience Nugent. She will be greatly and dearly missed by her children, Jason Duvall, Dean Duvall, Vanessa Nienstedt, Aja Nugent, and Megan Lynch; and her siblings, Michael Turnbeaugh, Deana Turnbeaugh, Donald Turnbeaugh, Timothy Turnbeaugh, and Joyce Cole.
Please join her family as they celebrate her life with a visitation from 10-11 AM on Sunday, August 6, 2017 followed by a funeral service at 11:30 Sunday, August 6, 2017 at Hillier Funeral Home of College Station.
