Theta Pickett

She was born in New Waverly, TX and returned to our Lord on March 25, 2017. Known as Granny to most, Theta, a devout Christian was the steadfast beacon of love we all crave in life. She taught at Crockett Elementary in Bryan for 17 years, touching the lives of countless children and numerous staff with her caring heart and sense of humor. To her children and grandchildren, she was our biggest fan. Granny endured many things over the years, but always maintained her grace and dignity. She taught us what unconditional love really is and being around her was being in the presence of love. To be with her was like catching a glimpse of the innocence we have long left behind.  Theta is survived by her children Lura and Guy Jr.

Visitation is on Thursday, March 30, 6-8PM at Hillier Funeral Home of Bryan. Funeral services will be held at 9:30AM, Friday, March 31 also at Hillier with interment to follow at Pipe Creek Cemetery.
