Sarah Frances Ruiz passed away peacefully at her home and went to be with the Lord and her beloved ones, Sylvia, Alice, and Roy, in heaven on Saturday, February 3, 2018. She was 70 years old. She was the wife of Jessie Aguilar. They shared 30 years of marriage together.
Sarah was born in Bryan, Texas. She was the daughter of Charlie and Ysidra Cantu. She worked all her life in an occupation that she loved. She was a member of St. Anthony’s Catholic Church. She took pride in being a part of the Amigos del Valle de Brazos. She also loved to shop and restore antiques.
Sarah is survived by her husband, Jessie Aguilar, three daughters Linda Ruiz, Debora Ruiz, Yvonne and husband Ignacio, two sons Andrew Ruiz III and Robert Ruiz and wife Angie, three sisters Irene Buentello, Mary and husband Carl Custer, Teresa and husband Paul Ramirez, 17 grandchildren, 17 great-grandchildren, and two dogs, Sugar and Bandit.
A visitation will be held from 5-8 PM with a rosary to begin at 6:30 pm on Thursday, February 8, 2018 at Hillier Funeral Home of Bryan. A Mass of Christian Burial will begin at 1 PM on Friday, February 9, 2018 at St. Anthony's Catholic Church of Bryan with burial to follow at Bryan City Cemetery.
