Pansy Falco

Pansy Ruth Rasco Falco of Bryan, Texas, passed away on Sunday, August 6, 2017 at the age of 86.
Born on the 10th of September 1930 to George and Ollie (Denman) Rasco in Willow Hole, Texas, Pansy was raised as the eighth of their nine children. Pansy graduated from North Zulch High School where she was the President of her Senior Class and Captain of the Volleyball team. Home Economics was her favorite class where she made straight A’s. After graduating in 1949, Pansy moved to Houston to begin working. However, she found that Houston did not suite her and decided to settle in Bryan, Texas. At that time she met the love of her life M.C. “Jimmy” Falco while working downtown Bryan at Canady’s Drug Store. On a particularly hot day in 1950, Jimmy came into Canady’s for a hot fudge Sundae and found who he would say was the most beautiful women he had ever seen. Later that same day Pansy and Jimmy officially met through a mutual friend and took a ride in Jimmy’s new car.
Some of Pansy’s fondest memories were of being employed at Orr’s Minimax in Bryan. Pansy was employeed there for ten years as a checker and drug manager.
Jimmy and Pansy were married on March 2, 1956 in Snook, Texas. They were blessed with 40 years of marriage, 4 children, 12 grandchildren, and 10 great- grandchildren.
Pansy’s long life was colored with a love of cooking, old westerns, sewing, oil painting and Christmas time all while drinking as much coffee as she had time to. She will always be remembered for her vast generosity, quick and feisty tongue, and her loving spirit.
Pansy is survived by her son and daughter-in-law Mark and Donna Falco of Howe, Oklahoma, their seven children and ten grandchildren; daughter Frances Falco Ellison of College Station, Texas, and her daughter; son and daughter-in-law Charles and Dana Falco of Lindale, Texas, and their two children; and daughter and son-in-law Pansy Ruth Falco and Mark Supak of Lyons, Texas, and their two children. Pansy is also survived by her older brother and sister-in-law George Donald and Betty Rasco of Tomball, Texas; sister-in-law Esta Rasco of Deer Park, Texas; numerous nieces and nephews, and her dear friends Jean May of North Zulch, Texas, and Linda Maass of Snook, Texas.
A special thanks is given to Karen Claxston, Reverend Tommy Sparks, the staff of Cornerstone Home Health, and the maintenance crew of Crestview Terrace for their love and care.
Please join Pansy’s family to celebrate her life, starting with a visitation on Thursday, August 10, 2017, from 6-8 PM, followed by a Life Celebration at 10 AM on Friday, August 11, 2017, both at Hillier Funeral Home of Bryan.
