Pamela Dunham

Pamela Lynn Dunham
On Monday, March 20, 2017, at age 53, Pam Dunham passed away and entered into the presence of the Lord.
Born in Chicago on August 24, 1963, Pam was adopted by her mother, Georgia Lee Faulkner and raised in Madisonville, TX. During her childhood and adolescence, Pam often found joy in her favorite music and spending time with her friends. After her graduation from Madisonville High School, she attended Sam Houston State University. While a student there, Pam met Shawn Douglas Dunham (now deceased) as they worked in the Financial Aid Office together. Shawn and Pam’s romance blossomed and the couple wed on April 14, 1991 in Huntsville, later becoming the parents of four children: Douglas Philip Matthew Dunham (wife Megan, of Houston), Shawn Ryan Standridge Dunham (wife Devia, of College Station), Hannah Elizabeth Honeywood Dunham (of College Station) and Sarah Della Louise Dunham (of College Station).
While Pam worked for many years at Texas A&M University, she also excelled in her life’s work as a wife and mother. Though she often suffered with fragile health, Pam was a compassionate woman, always ready to help others or the occasional stray dog. Unabashedly, she supplied loving comfort to those she cared about, whether someone needed a shoulder to cry on, a good laugh or a strong dose of reality. Additionally, Pam enjoyed family road trips, and when at home, was an avid reader, purveyor of southern cuisine, and enthusiastic in celebrating of her favorite holidays (Halloween and Christmas).
In addition, Pam’s life was richly blessed by those who loved her, including her children and their spouses—Philip & Megan, Ryan & Devia, Hannah and Sarah—and the grandson whose birth Pam anxiously awaited: Shawn Cecilio Standridge Dunham (expected this May). Pam was predeceased by her husband, Shawn.
Join us in celebrating the remarkable life of Pam Dunham, beginning with Visitation from 10am until noon on Saturday, March 25, 2017, at Hillier Funeral Home in Bryan. Graveside services will follow later that same day (2pm) at Bright Light Free Will Baptist Church Cemetery (11200 State Hwy 30, College Station, 77845).
