Howard Pryor McMillan III, “Mac”, 84, of Boerne, Texas went to be with his Lord on July 29, 2017. A Memorial Service in celebration of Mac’s life will be held on August 26, 2017 at 11:00a.m. in the Fellowship Hall of A&M United Methodist Church, 417 University Dr., College Station, Texas 77840.
Mac was born on May 15, 1933 to Parents Howard McMillan Jr. and Helen Haack of San Antonio, Texas. He graduated from Brackenridge High School in San Antonio, TX in 1951 before being drafted into the United States Army where he completed two years of military service. Following his military duty, Mac began a long career working for Southwestern Bell Telephone Company, retiring after 41 years of service. Mac was an active member of Boerne United Methodist Church. He was also involved with the Southwestern Bell Pioneers. Throughout his life Mac loved fishing, golfing, woodworking, and taking his boat out to his lake house property on Medina Lake in the Texas Hill Country. In his later years, Mac treasured spending time at his home in Boerne, Texas. His final years were spent with his daughters in College Station, Texas.
He is preceded in death by his father, Howard Pryor McMillan Jr. and mother, Helen Ann Haack.
Mac is survived by his two daughters, Joanna Stein and Crystal Robinson of College Station, TX, and their spouses Keith and Gordon; siblings, Dorothy Thompson, Rosemary Hartman, and Robert McMillan and his wife Carol; grandchildren, Keith Stein Jr. and his wife, Bailey, Lea Stein Madrid and her husband, Timothy, Cole Smith and his fiancé, Natalie, and Scott Smith; great-grandchildren, Cooper, Lauren, and Ellie, as well as numerous nieces and nephews, all of whom loved him dearly.
