Obituary for Ralph York Cobb
Ralph York Cobb, 92, of Bryan passed away on Sunday, March 7, 2010, at St. Joseph Regional Health Center. A gathering of family and friends will be from 5 to 8 p.m. Thursday, March 11, at Hillier Funeral Home. Services are set for 2 p.m. Friday, March 12, at Reliance Baptist Church. Interment will follow at Reliance Cemetery. Pastor Ray Marshall will officiate.
Ralph was born in Bryan on February 6, 1918, to Charlie C. and Vera Susie “Sudie” (Means) Cobb. He was a member of Reliance Baptist Church and American Legion Earl Graham Post No. 159.
He was preceded in death by his parents and two brothers.
Survivors include his son and daughter-in-law, Ralph Jr. and Cheryl Cobb of College Station; daughter and son-in-law, Linda and Gregory Shirley of Bryan; sisters, Annie Laura Rasco of North Zulch, Mary Mitchem of Houston, and Marie Risinger of Terrell; four grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren.
