Martha Palm-Cannon, 90, passed away on Thursday, July 29, 2010. Burial will occur at 11 a.m. Tuesday, August 3, at the Palm family plot in Oakwood Cemetery in Austin. A memorial service will be held at a later date at St. Andrew’s Episcopal Church in Bryan.
Martha earned a bachelor’s degree and a master’s degree from the University of Texas and completed an educational diagnostician certification program at Texas A&M University.
Martha is survived by her daughters, Leonora, Deirdre, Sabra and husband, Stephen; grandchildren, Jack and wife, Emily, Patric, Martha and Samantha; sister, Mary Palm Hurst; nieces, nephews, and extended family and childhood friends, including Tommy Hurst, Betty Hurst, Sharon Hibbert, Edward Hurst, Zoe Courtney Stefansson, Jack Courtney, Cal Courtney, Rue Howell Henry, Jane Evancho, Andy Evancho, Simon Evancho and Gwyn Shive.
