Obituary for Hazel "Kathy" Kathaleen Crain
Hazel “Kathy” Kathaleen Crain, 61, of Bryan passed away on Sunday, February 28, 2010, at St. Joseph Regional Health Center. Visitation will be from 5 to 8 p.m. Tuesday, March 2, at Hillier Funeral Home. Services are set for 10 a.m. Wednesday, March 3, at Hillier Funeral Home. Interment will follow at 2 p.m. at Cox Family Cemetery in Old Union, Texas.
Kathy was born on December 2, 1948, in Mexia, Texas, to Jack and Millicent Hazel (Yarbrough) Calhoun. She was an attendant at P.J.’s Laundry for more than 13 years, where she made many friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Jack and Millicent Calhoun; son, Timothy “Timmy” Crain; sisters, Mary Stevens and Katie Calhoun; and brother, Jack Calhoun.
Survivors include her husband, Elmer Floyd Crain; daughters and sons-in-law, Cynthia “Neicy” and Fred Raley of College Station, Teresa and Mike Russell of Hearne, Stephanie “Ta” and Judd Luce of Port Neches, Sharyle and Kirk Macik of Snook, Melissa “Bea” Crain and Robert Henry of Magnolia and Shana Crain and Britt Watson of Bryan; son and daughter-in-law, Chris and Jackye Crain of Bryan; grandchildren, Kaitlin and Nick Raley, Brittnee and Brandi Luce, K.J. and Lexi Macik, Hunter, Cheyenne and Dakota Watson, Samantha Russell; brothers and sisters-in-law, Donald and Sue Calhoun of Bryan, James and Shelia Calhoun of Houston and David and Lois Calhoun of Bryan; sister-in-law, Nancy Spikes of Franklin; sister and brother-in-law, Bertie and Jim Reeves of Shepherd, Texas; brother-in-law, Norman Stevens of Bryan; mother-in-law, Kathryn McDonald of Conroe; and many other family and friends.
